PUJ Obstruction
PUJ (Pelvic-Ureteric Junction) obstruction is a condition that affects the flow of urine from the kidneys to the bladder. It occurs when there is a blockage or narrowing at the point where the ureter meets the renal pelvis.
Symptoms
- Frequent urge to urinate but only passing small amounts
- Pain in the side or back
- Swollen kidney (hydronephrosis)
- Urinary tract infections
- Nausea or vomiting
Through Laparoscopic pyeloplasty, the obstruction can be treated.
